چکیده
these credentials it is quite remarkable that this agent has never had anything approaching an adequate Phase II trial in gastrointestinal cancer. Among 5 different small studies reviewed by Livingston and Carter (1) there were 47 colorectal patients treated with Cyclophosphamide by vari ous schedules, and the rates of objective response varied from 0 to 25%. The purpose of our investigation was to evaluate the therapeutic potential of intermittent high-dose Cyclophos phamide in advanced gastrointestinal adenocarcinoma and particularly in colorectal carcinoma.

Intermittent low dose irradiation enhances the effectiveness of radio-therapy for human breast adenocarcinoma cell line MDA–MB–231
Introduction: Hormesis and adaptive responses are two important biological effects of low-dose ionizing radiation (LDIR) in organism and mammalian cell lines. Notably, LDIR generates distinct biological effects in cancer cells from normal cells, e.g., it may affect the growth of cancer cells via the activation of certain cell signaling pathway, which does not exist in normal ...

PURPOSE Determine the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) of pemetrexed and cyclophosphamide combination therapy for patients with locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer. EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN Patients with locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer and WHO performance status 0 to 2 were eligible. متن کاملEffects of intermittent 5-fluorouracil and low-dose cisplatin therapy on advanced and recurrent gastric cancer.
BACKGROUND Although combination therapy consisting of 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) and cisplatin for the treatment of gastric cancer has been reported, no consistent regimen has been established. Our aim was to determine the optimal treatment schedule of this therapy, for patients with advanced or recurrent gastric cancer. PATIENTS AND METHODS We conducted a phase II study to evaluate the efficacy a...
